WEDDING OF INÉS DE MARICHALAR Y DEL CORRAL

Inés de Marichalar y del Corral, a member of the House of Marichalar (Spain: Casa de Marichalar) and youngest sister of Blanca de Marichalar y del Corral, married Valentín Prieto Alfaro at the Church of San Fermín de los Navarros in Madrid, Spain on 12 September 2020.

Marichalar sisters Blanca and Inés. Blanca helped her youngest sister Inés to put on her sandals by Manolo Blahnik.



The bride, Inés de Marichalar, born on 1st June 1995 as the second daughter of Amalio Joaquín de Marichalar y Sáenz de Tejada (born 1958), 9th Count of Ripalda and his wife Amalia de Corral y Rosillo (born 1962), Countess of Ripalda.

Inés de Marichalar y del Corral is the niece of Jaime de Marichalar and Sáenz de Tejada, who is the former husband of the Infanta Elena, Duchess of Lugo, the eldest daughter of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain.



After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved to the Soto de Cerrolen to celebrate the young couple’s marriage. It’s the Marichalar’s second wedding this summer. Inés’ sister, Blanca married her boyfriend Rodrigo Moreno on August 2nd in Soria.



For her wedding, Inés de Marichalar wore The Marichalar Tiara, a family heirloom that features diamonds and platinum with a base of metal circles, a laurel wreath middle and Greek key motif. The Tiara was also worn by Infanta Elena on her wedding day.

Infanta Elena wore The Marichalar Tiara for her wedding day. She married Jaime de Marichalar y Sáenz de Tejada on 18 March 1995, in Seville Cathedral, Seville.
