Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited the city of Gävle and the Municipality of Sandviken together with Generation Pep (Gen-Pep) on September 11, 2020.
Gen-Pep is a non-profit organization founded by the Crown Princess Couple and aims to raise awareness of the public about sports and healthy nutrition for the purpose of protecting physical health of children and teenagers
In Gävle, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were welcomed by Generation Pep’s operations manager Carolina Klüft (former Swedish athlet) and Governor Per Bill.
During the day, the Crown Princess couple met with representatives from the municipality and school in Gävleborg to talk about challenges and opportunities that are linked to children and young people’s physical health.
In Sandviken Municipality (Sandvikens kommun), in east central Sweden, The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel also visited Rapatac Sandviken and Fritidsbanken Sandviken.
At Rapatac Activity Center, Their Royal Highnesses met with founder Moussa N’Diaye. The vision of Rapatac is that all children shall have an enriching and inspiring leisure time throughout their time as kids.
Finally, The Crown Princess Couple visited Fritidsbanken Sandviken, previously called Sportbiblioteke, where people can borrow everything for an active leisure time all year round. The lending period is 14 days and everyone can borrow completely free of charge.
