THE QUEEN VISITS ROYAL AIR FORCE MARHAM

For her first public engagement of 2020, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as Honorary Air Commodore, visits Royal Air Force Marham, in Norfolk, England on February 3, 2020.

At RAF Marham, Her Majesty met station personnel currently in training.

Her Majesty wore a peach and cream coat with matching hat for the occasion, pearl and diamond earrings, three strand pearl necklace, Queen Victoria Bow Brooch, and her classic Launer bag.

RAF Marham is a military airbase, with over 3,600 working personnel. The base provides engineering support across the RAF and is home to the F-35B Lightning, a military aircraft.

The Queen watched a demonstration of virtual training in the Air System Maintenance Trainer Classroom. This special equipment provides new pilots with simulation-based training to practice flying planes.

The Queen visits the Integrated Training Centre, which provides future pilots with thorough training and enables them to qualify as a Lightning Plane pilot.
