THE CAMBRIDGES VISIT INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY CORONAVIRUS

As non-essential shops start reopening in parts of the United Kingdom, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited two independent businesses to hear how they have been impacted by coronavirus, and how they are returning to a new normal.



The Duchess of Cambridge Visited Fakenham Garden Centre

On June 18, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visited Fakenham Garden Centre in Norfolk, during her first public engagement since lockdown. The visit was made public today, June 19.

The garden centre is near her Anmer Hall home and, as a keen gardener, the Duchess wanted to hear how the Covid-19 pandemic had affected the family-run independent business, which first opened in 1984.



The Duchess of Cambridge talked to Martin and Jennie Turner, owners of the Fakenham Garden Centre. She said that her children, Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2) have been growing tomato plants and have been learning about the importance of spent time outside.

Royal Fashion: Duchess of Cambridge

The Duchess opted for a country chic attire, she wore Fjallraven “Sörmland” padded vest in Dark Olive, Jaeger linen shirt in baby blue, Massimo Dutti Skinny Fit High-Rise Satin Trousers in Chocolate, Superga Cotu 2750 Classic Sneakers in Sherwood Gum and Siren Wire earrings in Green Onyx from Monica Vinader.

Prince William Visited Local Bakery

On June 19, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge visited Smiths the Bakers in King’s Lynn, Norkfolk to pick up some fresh pastries.
