
SPANISH ROYAL FAMILY ATTENDED OFFICIAL TRIBUTE TO THE VICTIMS OF COVID-19
Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia together with their daughters Princess Leonor of Asturias and Infanta Sofía, presided over the official tribute to the victims of Covid-19 and recognition of society, held at the Plaza de la Armeria of The Royal Palace of Madrid (Spanish: Palacio Real de Madrid) on July 16.

Spanish Royal Family occupied the place of honor in the circle, around the fire pit, and the National Anthem was performed.

Then, the ceremony to honor the victims of Covid-19 and recognition of society began, Her Majesty the King and Princess Leonor, accompanied by the representatives of victims and health workers, in front of the cauldron, deposited two white roses, followed by the offering of the rest of the designated authorities and accompanied by representatives of civil society.

Afterwards, King Felipe VI delivered a speech in honor of the victims of Covid-19.
His Majesty the King in his speech indicated that

The solemn act ended with the interpretation of the poem “Silencio”, by Octavio Paz, followed by a minute of silence.
