WELCOME HOME CERISE!

Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and their chidlren Prince Henrik and Princess Athena got a new dog. It is a bichon frise of Danish descent and the name is Cerise. That means Cherry in English. The Royal Couple continued with the tradition of naming their dogs after a fruit – the family’s former dog was named Apple.

CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK VISITED COPENHAGEN BOYS CHOIR

On 21 August 2019, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark visited Copenhagen Boys Choir at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium.

The Crown Prince has been Patron of the Copenhagen Boys Choir or Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir since May. This visit was the first time that the Crown Prince met the choir as Patron.

The Copenhagen Boys Choir has roots back to the earliest choral music. The choir was created in its present form in 1924 and got its own choir school in 1929. The choir is affiliated with the Sankt Annæ Gymnasium and Copenhagen Cathedral. The 180 boys aged 9-14 receive professional singing training as an integral part of their regular schooling. The choir also includes 30 professional male singers aged 20-50 years.



Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

On 22 August 2019, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended a meeting with Development Minister Rasmus Prehn. At the meeting, the Minister of Development had the opportunity to tell the Crown Princess about development priorities, and there was also a discussion of future joint activities.



Crown Prince Frederik at the Official Inauguration of Horns Rev 3

On 22 August 2019, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark attended the official inauguration of Horns Rev 3.

Horns Rev is an offshore wind farm in Danish waters in the North Sea.

The wind farm was built in three phases, with the first coming online in 2002, the second in 2009 and the third in 2019.
