QUEEN SOFIA ATTENDED MEETING OF QUEEN SOFIA SPANISH INSTITUTE

On 17 March 2021, Queen Sofia of Spain attended, by video conference from the Zarzuela Palace, the joint annual meeting of the members and the Board of Directors of the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute.

The Queen Sofia Spanish Institute is a nonprofit corporation established in New York City by private American citizens to stimulate interest in the United States about the art, culture, customs, language, literature, and history of the Spanish-speaking world.

“It has been an honor to have Her Majesty Queen Sofía at our Annual Board of Directors Meeting. We have been able to present our programs from 2020 and our plans for 2021. All are focused on spreading the importance of the Spanish-speaking world and Hispanic cultures in the US”.

Her Majesty Queen Sofia also took part in a video conference with the board of Reina Sofía School of Music (Spanish: Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía) on March 09, 2021 in Madrid.

The Reina Sofía School of Music is a private music school founded in Madrid, Spain, in 1991 by Paloma O’Shea. It is a programme of the Albéniz Foundation. It bears the name of its President of Honour, Queen Sofía of Spain.
