QUEEN MAXIMA VISITED THE KUNSTMUSEUM DEN HAAG

On June 2nd, Queen Maxima visited the Kunstmuseum Den Haag (English: The Municipal Museum of the Hague) in The Hague, Netherlands. The museum has re-opened under strict social distancing conditions after being closed for 11 weeks due to the coronavirus crisis.

Dutch Queen Máxima arrived on a bicycle for the official royal engagement.

The Kunstmuseum Den Haag is a famous art museum of modern art, fashion and design. It was founded in 1866 as the “Museum voor Moderne Kunst”.

The Queen wore all-yellow ensemble button-up linen shirt paired with matching yellow trousers both from Max Mara. Her waist was cinched with a brown leather tassel belt.

She carried a Sophie Habsburg “Moneypenny” bag and Yellow Beads Big Circle Hoop Earrings.



Queen Máxima spoke to employees about the introduction of the corona measures and visited the exhibitions “Royal Blue” (Dutch: Koninklijk Blauw) and “Breitner vs Israels.

Kunstmuseum Den Haag has one of the largest collections of Dutch Delftware in the world. Selected pieces of the collection are on display at the a permanent gallery which represent Dutch art in the “Golden Age”.
