QUEEN MÁXIMA VISITED TEXEL ISLAND

On May 28, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands visited the Dutch Island Texel to learn about the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism.

Texel is a municipality and an island with a population of 13,643 in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands.

The economy in the Wadden Islands is largely dependent on tourism. In the village of Den Burg, Queen Máxima spoke with entrepreneurs at the Hotel Texel De Lindeboom about the impact of the corona measures in their bussiness and their expectations for the future.

For the visit, Queen Máxima wore red top with printed red and white culotte with wide fit. She opted for brown clutch and block heel strappy sandals.

Through discussions and working visits, Queen Máxima learned about the consequences of the corona criris and express her support and appreciation for the efforts of everyone in the fight against the pandemic.

Queen Máxima concluded the visit to Texel with a short walk through the center of Den Burg.
