QUEEN MAXIMA VISITED OVLG HOSPITAL

On May 26, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands visited The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis Hospital in Amsterdam, known as OLVG.

The working visit takes place in the context of the digital transformation that Hospital is undergoing in times of corona. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, OLVG has focused on further digitization of care in order to provide patients and their loved ones with the best possible remote support.

One of the initiatives is The Corona Check app with which health data can be passed daily. The app asks for symptoms and provides online help to track and assess complaints that may indicate the corona virus.

These complaints are assessed by a medical team. If necessary, a healthcare provider from this team will contact people by telephone within 24 hours.

During her visit, Queen Máxima speaks with employees in the medical Control Center. Doctors and nurses from the team explain their activities during the corona crisis. People who use the app shared their experiences via video call.

For the visit, Queen Máxima opted for a balloon sleeve dress from H&M, Belt by Altuzarra, Shoes by Gianvito Rossi and Oval Hoops Earrings.
