QUEEN MÁXIMA MUSIC IN THE CLASSROOM

Queen Maxima of The Netherlands attended the signing of the music agreement for “More Music in the Classroom” (Dutch: Méér Muziek in de Klas) for children in the Hoeksche Waard region on June 16, 2020 in Puttershoek, Netherlands.

“More Music in the Classroom” program is an initiative of the “More Music in the Classroom Foundation (Dutch: Méér Muziek in de Klas Foundation), of which Queen Máxima is Honorary President. ⠀ ⠀

After their presentation, Queen Máxima posed with the children.



Almost 7,500 primary school students in Hoeksche Waard will benefit from the program.

The aim of More Music in the Classroom is to provide structural music education for all primary school children in the Netherlands.

Queen Máxima spoke with members of the music school, music association, the municipality and province about the importance of music education.

The signing took place during a musical meeting at Alcazar Events in Puttershoek. A video connection with school children and other people involved with the program were also available online.

The gala music was presented by Buddy Vedder, Ambassador of Méér Muziek in de Klas.
