QUEEN MAXIMA AT THE VPTZ CONGRESS IN AMERSFOORT

Queen Maxima of The Netherlands attended the congress ‘Together Meaning – You Make the Difference!’ that was organized by Volunteer Palliative Terminal Care (VPTZ) at Theater De Flint on October 9, 2019 in Amersfoort, province of Utrecht, Netherlands.

‘Together Meaning – You Make The Difference!’ is about the importance of volunteers for palliative terminal care.

Volunteer Palliative Terminal Care (Dutch: Vrijwillige Palliatieve Terminale Zorg) is the umbrella organization for voluntary organizations that support people in their final phase of life.

Queen Máxima attended a lecture and was present at the award of the ‘Prize the Volunteer’. This prize symbolizes all the good work done by the more than 12,000 volunteers.

The Queen was joined by Hugo de Jonge, Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport.
