QUEEN MATHILDE VISITS YOUTH START TRAINING PROGRAMME

On July 6, Queen Mathilde visits YouthStart Belgium in Uccle, Brussels to learn about its training programme. The organization provides entrepreneurship training and education programs to young people from low-income urban communities.

YouthStart ensures that NEET young people (not in education, employment or training) find their way in life through training.

The Queen has granted her Patronage to YouthStart Belgium for many years.



SouthStart was co-founded in 1998 by Gaëtan Hannecart, current chairperson, who was inspired by the American Steve Mariotti, founder of the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

During the 8-day training programme, young people is guided by 2 great trainers, together with 10 to 15 other youth. The programme is spread over several weeks, in this period participants discover their talents and work on a dream project, thay they  will present at the end of the training.



In exchange for young people efforts, they will receive the YouthStart certificate, powered by Antwerp Management School (AMS) and HEC Liège Management School. Four young people have the chance to travel abroad and present their dream project at the European Competition.

Together with Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) partners from around the world, Youth Start have already trained more than 800,000 young people to achieve their dreams.
