QUEEN MATHILDE VISITS RECEPTION HOUSE FOR YOUTH

On June 4, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visits the reception house for youth La Baïne in Houtain- Le-Val in Wallonia, Belgium.

The reception house La Baïne, previously Le Colombier, is managed by L’Asbl Amarrage, created in 1959 under the name “Aide à l’Enfance”.

This Youth Aid Service is approved and subsidized by the Wallonia- Brussels Federation.

Amarrage helps children between the ages of 3 and 18, who are in danger in their family enviroment. The youth are placed there by the autorities.



The Queen spoke with the young people and employees. During the meeting, Queen Mathilde was particularly interested in the impact of the corona crisis and the restrictions on their lives.



“It is a great honor to receive Queen Mathilde today. It is a nice recognition for the employees in the Youth Aid Sector, who are often forgotten”.

Queen Mathilde wears a light pink top and trousers, with a yellow-green coat by Emporio Armani.
