
PRINCESS INGRID ALEXANDRA’S CONFIRMATION DETAILS
Norwegian’s Princess Ingrid Alexandra will be confirmed in The Palace Chapel at the Royal Palace in Oslo on Saturday, 31 August 2019.
Christenings and confirmations are held at The Palace Chapel. This place provides a framework for important events in the life of the Norwegian Royal Family.
Ingrid Alexandra was baptised by Bishop Gunnar Stålsett in The Chapel of the Royal Palace on 17 April 2004.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra has followed the confirmation teaching in the Asker congregation. Confirmation service will be performed by Kari Veiteberg, Bishop of Oslo, and Helga Haugland Byfuglie, priest from the Bishop’s Meeting.
After the service, The King and The Queen will host a luncheon at the Royal Palace.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway (born 21 January 2004) is the elder child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. She is second in line to succeed her grandfather King Harald V.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra Confirmation Gift
Princess Ingrid Alexandra was gifted with a new bunad by her grandparents King Harald V and Queen Sonja, which she will wear in the confirmation. A bunad is the national costume of Norway.
Ingrid’s bunad is from Aust-Telemark, a traditional district in the county of Telemark in Norway.

A large number of guests from both home and abroad are expected to attend Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s Confirmation.
All the Princess’s godparents Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, King Felipe of Spain (the then Prince of Asturias), Princess Märtha Louise of Norway, King Harald and Ms Marit Tjessem (the Crown Princess’s mother) will attend the confirmation.
Unfortunately, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark King Felipe of Spain (the then Prince of Asturias) could not be present at the Princess’s Christening.
The Crown Prince of Denmark will be joined by his wife Crown Princess Mary and their older son Prince Christian.
