PRINCE PHILIP HAS BEEN DISCHARGED FROM KING EDWARD VII HOSPITAL

After four weeks, The Duke of Edinburgh has been discharged from King Edward VII’s Hospital on March 16, 2020.

Buckingham Palace has released the following statement: “The Duke of Edinburgh has today been discharged from King Edward VII’s Hospital and has returned to Windsor Castle, following treatment for an infection and a successful procedure for a pre-existing condition.”

The statement added: “His Royal Highness wishes to thank all the medical staff who looked after him at both King Edward VII’s Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, and everyone who has sent their good wishes.”

Prince Philip was transferred on March 1, from King Edward VII’s Hospital to St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where he had a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition on March 3 at St Bartholomew.

The Duke was transferred, again, on March 5 from St Bartholomew to King Edward VII’s Hospital.

Sources say the Duke is in “good spirits”. The Duke of Edinburgh has returned to Windsor Castle, where he rejoins Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
