For this tribute, 98 fruit trees were planted in reference to the age of the late sovereign, an opportunity to remind people of his unconditional love for nature. The late Jean (1921- 2019) was the Grand Duke of Luxembourg from 1964 until his abdication in 2000.
During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses and two children from Fischbach, a commune and village in central Luxembourg, replanted 3 trees instead of plants that did not grow.
Cute Prince Charles also posed with her grandmother, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa on occasion of her birthday on March 22nd.
