
NORWEGIAN OPENING OF PARLIAMENT – STORTINGET 2019
King Harald V joined by Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon officially opened the 164th session of the Norwegian Parliament (Norwegian: Stortinget) in Oslo on October 2, 2019.
The streets were decorated with Norwegian flags and thousands of well-wishers greeting Their Majesties.

King Harald and Queen Sonja arrived at The Stortinget Building (Norwegian: Stortingsbygningen), the seat of the parliament of Norway.
Queen Sonja of Norway wore red dress and red cape with a touch of black.

During the ceremony The King sat on The Throne Chair.
Queen Sonja, King Harald V and Crown Prince Haakon.
The Norwegian Parliament is the supreme arena for political debate and decision-making in the Kingdom of Norway and was established by the Constitution of Norway in 1814.
The King gave a speech during the ceremony.
