In 1972, Prince Henrik of Denmark (11 June 1934 – 13 February 2018) took the initiative to establish the WWF World Wide Fund for Nature in Denmark, and until his death, the Prince was President of the organization. Now the Crown Princess has taken over the role of President.⁣

This is the first time that thornback rays have been released into Danish waters, and the release is the result of a collaboration between the WWF World Wide Fund for Nature and H&M, which since 2011 have been global partners in areas such as climate and responsible water consumption.
