MARY AND FREDERIK – KRONPRINSPARRET PRISER 2019

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited Odense, where they visited Brandts Art Museum and presented the Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes (Danish: Kronprinsparrets Priser) on October 2, 2019.



Mary and Frederik Visited The Brandts-Museum

Mary and Frederik first visited the Brandts – Museum of Art and Visual Culture (Danish: Kunstmuseum Brandts).

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were welcomed by Odense’s Mayor Peter Rahbæk Juel and Museum Director Mads Damsbo.

Mary wore Ole Lynngaard star earrings.



Mary and Frederik view the exhibition “The Great Filter” created by Danish artist Adam Jeppesen. The work consists of 2,000 cement sculptures on the floor, similar to uniform sand castles.

The Crown Princess wore Prada pink jacket, Zara pink turtleneck sweater, grey trousers and grey suede ankle boots.

The Crown Prince Couple’s Awards 2019

Later in the evening, Mary and Frederik presented The Crown Prince Couple’s Awards 2019 (Danish: Kronprinsparrets Priser 2019) at the Odense Music and Theatre Hall.

Mary carried gold sequin clutch from Prada.



The Crown Prince Couple’s Awards were established by the Bikuben Foundation on the occasion of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary’s wedding on May 14, 2004.

The Awards honors extraordinary efforts and achievements in the arts and culture as well as social work in Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Islands.

The Crown Prince Couple’s Awards consist of four awards, Culture (Kronprinsparrets Kulturpris), Social (Kronprinsparrets Sociale Pris) and two Stardust (Danish: Stjernedrysprisen 2019).

The Crown Prince Couple’s Social Prize went to the social effort Bydelsmothers, while the opera singer Elsa Dreisig received the Crown Prince Couple’s Cultural Prize. The Crown Prince couple’s two Stardust Prizes went to the social economy company FRAK as well as songwriter and singer Jada (Emilie Molsted).

For the awards, Mary wore a new bespoke gown by Danish fashion designer Soeren Le Schmidt.
