GALA AT THE OPERA – MONACO NATIONAL DAY 2019

As part of celebrations of Monaco National Day 2019 (French: La Fête du Prince) a Gala at the Opera was held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo.

At the Gala, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene were joined by Princess Caroline of Hanover, Andrea Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi (Pierre Casiraghi’s wife).

The National Day of Monaco also known as The Sovereign Prince’s Day is currently annually celebrated on 19 November.

Princess Charlene opted for a masculine-inspired tuxedo, Black Pumps Pointed Toe Heels and Black Clutch. She also wore The Order of St Charles, Statement Ruby and Diamonds Earrings and her Engagement Ring.

The Princess of Hanover opted for a red dress from Channel and the sash of The Order of St Charles.

Princess Caroline accessorised her dress with long teardrop earrings and matching necklace, large red ring and black / silver handbag.

Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi wore black dress, black long sleeve gloves and glittering diamond earrings.

The Princely Family attended the performance of the Opera Lucia di Lammermoor, a dramma tragico (tragic opera) in three acts by Gaetano Donizetti directed by Jean-Louis Grinda.

This opera traces the conflicts between the Catholic and Protestant families of Scotland in the 16th century.

During the morning the Traditional Mass and the Military Parade for Monaco National Day were celebrated.
