KING FELIPE AND QUEEN LETIZIA CELEBRATE THE PASCUA MILITAR 2021

Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain have presided over their first royal engagement of 2021, The Pascua Militar (English: Military Easter) at the Royal Palace of Madrid on January 6, 2021.

The festivity, also known as New Year’s Military Parade, is held annually on the Day of Epiphany (English: Three Kings Day, Spanish: Día de Reyes) since 1782.



Upon their arrival, King Felipe and Queen Letizia were saluted by the Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Minister of Defence Margarita Robles.

A short ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Royal Palace, where the national anthem, The Marcha Real (English: The Royal March) was played and King Felipe reviewed the troops (composed mainly by the Royal Guard).

Next, King Felipe and Queen Letizia viewed the New Year’s Military Parade.

Afterward, the Royal Couple made their way to the Throne Room of the Royal Palace, where the Defense Minister and King Felipe gave their traditional speeches and The King rewards some military officers.

Queen Letizia wore Carolina Herrera black Fur Collar Cape, Maksu Fontana Blouse in white, clutch by Felipe Varela, heels by Magrit and Karen Hallam Signature Ring.
