FELIPE AND LETIZIA PRESIDED OVER THE ABC JOURNALISM AWARDS

King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the gala dinner of the 100th Edition of the ABC International Journalism Awards: “Mariano de Cavia”, “Luca de Tena” and “Mingote” Awards on July 13, 2020 in Madrid, Spain.

Felipe VI and Queen Letizia arrived for the ABC International Journalism Awards.



The act began with the unveil, by King Felipe VI, of a plaque commemorating the event.

All attendees, including Their Majesties, wore face masks accordingly with Spanish sanitary rules to fight the spread of the coronavirus.

For the official photos, Their Majesties took off their face masks and posed with representatives for ABC, Vocento, the Jury and the winners.

Next, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia took their place at the presidential table and a commemorative video of the 100 Years of the Mariano de Cavia Prize was projected.

Once King Felipe VI delivered his speech, Queen Letizia and him, gave the prizes (a bronze statuette of the sculptor Onieva) from the stage.



Royal Fashion: Queen Letizia of Spain

The Queen looked stunning in an asymetric red dress by Argentinian designer Roberto Torreta with her black Bottega Veneta’s ‘Knot’ clutch bag and Manolo Blahnik ‘Gotrianc’ Slingbacks 105 heels.

For jewelry she opted for her Aldao Joyeros ruby cabochon and diamond dangle earrings and gold Karen Hallam signature ring.
