FELIPE AND LETIZIA VISIT SEVILLE AND CORDOBA AS PART OF THE SPANISH ROYAL TOUR

The Spanish Royal Tour continues, today King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited Andalusia, the southern autonomous community in Peninsular Spain.

Their Majesties visited the province of Seville, capital of Andalusia, and the province of Cordoba. This royal tour is part of the campaign “Spain for Sure”. The campaign promote tourists to visit Spain after COVID-19 pandemic.



King Felipe and Queen Letizia Visit Seville

The day started in Seville, where Their Majesties visit The Polígono Sur, one of the poorest areas of the country.

Their Majesties received a very warm welcome during the visit.

At The Polígono Sur, they toured “Esqueleto” Civic Center and Don Bosco Social Center.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia are seen accompanied by Finance Minister Maria Jesus Montero and Andalusian President Juanma Moreno before visiting El Esqueleto Civic Center.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia also learned about the activities of The Polígono Sur Social Emergency Commission, set up to deal with the situation caused by COVID-19.

The Commission was created at the beginning of the pandemic at the request of the commissioner to prepare and implement an Operational Plan to facilitate access to basic resources for vulnerable families in the polygon during the lockdown and later.



Next, King Felipe and Queen Letizia toured The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See (Spanish: Catedral de Santa María de la Sede), better known as Seville Cathedral, along with the adjoining Alcázar palace complex (The Royal Alcázars of Seville).

At The Royal Alcázars of Seville, Queen Letizia and King Felipe visited the Patio de Banderas.

Afterwards, Their Majesties held a meeting with representatives of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andalusia.



King Felipe and Queen Letizia Visit Cordoba

Following their tour, Their Majesties Queen Letizia an King Felipe traveled to Cordoba, where they toured the famous “Patios de Cordoba” or “Patios Cordobeses” (English: Cordoba Courtyards).

Córdoba Courtyards is a unique tradition in the world where houses with courtyards and balconies are decorated with hundreds of colourful flowers and plants.

For the visit, Queen Letizia wore a blue tie-dye Adolfo Dominguez dress, Macarena Alba6 Serraje Taupe Wedges and Gold Bamboo Hoops Earrings.
