She is named after her maternal great-grandmother, Princess Charlotte, Duchess of Valentinois. Her maternal grandmother was American actress Grace Kelly, later Princess Grace of Monaco.
Charlotte has one oldest brother Andrea Albert Pierre Casiraghi born on 8 June 1984.
