THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE MARK ST PATRICK’S DAY

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken part in a very special St Patrick’s Day video released by the Irish Government. Prince William even honed his language skills by speaking Irish: “beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh”!

Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge were joined by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado of Japan and world leaders: President Joe Biden from United States of America, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from Canada, Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern from New Zealand, Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison, and Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg in wishing people a happy St Patrick’s Day.

The Queen Marks St Patrick’s Day

To celebrates St Patrick’s Day, The Queen has sent her best wishes to the people of Ireland:

“On the occasion of your National Day, I would like to convey to Your Excellency my congratulations, together with my best wishes to the people of Ireland. This year marks ten years since my visit to Ireland, which I remember fondly, and it marks a significant centenary across these islands. We share ties of family, friendship and affection – the foundation of our partnership that remains as important today as ten years ago. ‘Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh go léir.’
