THE CAMBRIDGES VISITED LONDON BRIDGE AND WHITE CHAPEL

On September 15, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited London Bridge and Whitechapel to hear about some of the challenges faced over the past six months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During a visit to East London’s famous Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery, The Duke and Duchess heard how this affected employees, as well as the ways in which the shop have helped their community through food donation and delivery.

East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre

The Duke and Duchess’ next visit was to the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel, where volunteers have played an important role in supporting members of their community by helping to deliver warm meals, food and medication to the most vulnerable, including supporting women affected by domestic violence.

London Bridge Jobcentre

Their Royal Highnesses also visited London Bridge Jobcentre. Throughout the Covid-19 emergency, London Bridge Job Centre has continued to provide face to face support to vulnerable customers.
