DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE SPOKE TO YOUNG TENNIS PLAYERS VIA VIDEO CALL

To mark what would have been the start of finals weekend of the famous Wimbledon Championships, The Duchess of Cambridge (Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club) was joined by surprise guest Sir Andy Murray, as she spoke to young tennis players from Bond Primary School in Mitcham, South London.

The former Wimbledon Champion shared his experiences of playing tennis growing up, some vital tips to better their game, and how he’s managed training over the last few months.



The Duchess visited Bond Primary School on January 17, 2018. She joined pupils taking part in the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative ((WJTI).

The Duchess wore a new dress by HVN by Harley Viera-Newton, the Maria belted printed silk crepe de chine midi dress with tiny tennis players and an elegant length that hits mid-calf.

HVN was founded by Harley Viera-Newton, a British model, DJ and designer.

For jewellery, she opted for her Monica Vinader Siren Wire green onyx earrings.

As Patron of The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (Wimbledon), Kate wore her purple and green Wimbledon bow pin, which can only be worn by the patron, the president, the committee of management, the vice presidents, and four members of executive staff.
