DANISH FIRST NEW YEAR’S RECEPTION AND BANQUET 2020

Queen Margrethe of Denmark hosted the first New Year’s Reception and Banquet for the Government and Civil Servants at Christian VII’s Palace, also known as Moltke’s Palace, Amalienborg, in Copenhagen on January 1, 2020.

Her Majesty was joined by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, and Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg.

Danish Queen Margrethe and Members of the Danish Royal Family – Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, and Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg – were pictured arriving at the Palace.

Queen Margrethe wore the Emerald Parure Tiara, Crown Princess Mary wore the Ruby Parure Tiara, Princess Marie worn the Dagmar Floral Tiara and Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg wore the Star and Pearl Tiara. The Royal Ladies also wore The Collar and Star of the Order of the Elephant. 

Princess Marie with the Dagmar Floral Tiara and Henrik Hviid navy gown and Prince Joachim with his militar uniform and medals.

Princess Benedikte wore a purple gown by Wichmann Couture and The Star and Pearl Tiara.



Crown Princess Mary with The Ruby Parure Tiara and burgundy gown from Birgit Hallstein. Crown Prince Frederik wore his uniform and medals.
