
CROWN PRINCESS MARY MET WITH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME
Crown Princess Mary had a meeting with David Beasley, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and Rasmus Prehn, Danish Minister for Development Cooperation at Frederik VIII’s Palace of Amalienborg on October 19, 2020.
For the meeting, Crown Princess Mary wore Red Valentino Crystal-Collar Crepe Top in Black with new grey trousers and Gianvito Rossi 105 Pumps in Fumo Grey Suede.
The Crown Princess had the opportunity to congratulate World Food Programme (WFP) on being awarded this years’ Nobel Peace Prize.
WFP was recognised for its efforts to combat hunger, to create better conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas, and for its work to prevent hunger from being used as a weapon in conflicts.

During the meeting, The Crown Princess hears how many millions of people are forecast to face extreme food insecurity in the coming years, primarily due to conflict and migration.
The Crown Princess also learned about WFP’s strategic plans and work, which are strongly supported by Denmark.
