The Regional Committee is a vital platform for the 53 Member States of the WHO European Region to come together, understand each other’s challenges and find solutions to national, regional and global health issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decisions taken and policies adopted at RC70 serve as collective commitments for countries, impacting the health and well-being of the 900 million people living in the WHO European Region.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess of Denmark Mary posed with Regional Director of WHO Europe Hans Kluge Jr, Minister for Health and Elderly Affairs Magnus Heunicke, and Executive President Dr Søren Brostrøm.
Crown Princess Mary gave a speech at the online meeting. The Crown Princess said:
