CROWN PRINCESS MARY VISITED ROSKILDE GYMNASIUM

Crown Princess Mary visited the Roskilde Gymnasium (College) in Roskilde. The college is participating in UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (Danish: UNESCOs Verdensm氓lsskoler). The visit took place on November 18, 2020.

The aim of the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network is to build the defenses of peace in the minds of children and young people. It is part of the UNESCO tools to reach Goal 4 (Education) of the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.

Local kindergarten children sited in a bicycle cart near Roskilde Gymnasium and waited patiently for Crown Princess Mary to arrive.



UNESCO ASPNet consists of 11,500 schools and educational institutions in 182 countries. In Denmark, there are 62 educational institutions in the network.

During her visit, Crown Princess Mary was presented to different projects which the students were working on and which was part of a national competition.

Crown Princess Mary was accompanied by Minister for Development Cooperation, Rasmus Prehn.
