Crown Princess Mary of Denmark opened the 69th session of World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 16, 2019. The Crown Princess is Patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.
Her Royal Highness was received by WHO Regional Director for Europe, Dr Zsuzsanna Jakab and WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
Denmark Crown Princess gave an inspiring speech about health equity and need for fact based information on vaccination.

The event includes representatives of many health ministers from the 53 Member States of the WHO European Region, and civil society as well as WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and Anne Bucher, Director-General, European Commission, Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety.
WHO anual meeting is been held on 16 -19 September 2019 and review a decade of public health progress, address remaining and new challenges and nominate a new Regional Director for Europe. They will also mark the achievements of Health 2020, the European policy for health.

For the meeting Crown Princess Mary opted for red dress with multicolored tweed Jana Jacket by YDE, a luxury women’s Prêt-à-Porter Brand based in Copenhagen. She also carried her Prada bag and wore Gianvito Rossi Pumps.
