Crown Princess Mary Visited Rigshospitalet
As patron of the Danish Heart Association, Crown Princess Mary visited the Heart Surgery Section of the Rigshospitalet (The National, State or Kingdom Hospital) in Copenhagen.

Later, Crown Princess Mary handed out the Danish Heart Foundation Awards (Hjerteforeningen) and the Children Heart Foundation Awards (Børnehjertefondens) at the Hotel d’Angleterre in Copenhagen.
Danish Heart Foundation is a non-profit organization and it was founded in 1962. Children’s Heart Foundation started in 2004.
Her Royal Highness was received by two of the Heart Association’s “Heart Children”, who are children who are either born with heart failure or suffer from cardiovascular disease.
The Crown Princess is the patron of the Danish Heart Association, which with its 132,345 members is one of Denmark’s largest disease-fighting organizations.
The winners were Lars Allan Larsen, Canan Doganli, Mina Nicole Händel, Anne Lagsted and Sofie Bay Simony.
