THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE START THE ROYAL TRAIN TOUR

On December 6, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge start their travel on the Royal Train (#RoyalTrainTour) across England, Scotland and Wales.

Over the next two days, The Duke and Duchess will undertake working visits meeting frontline workers, teachers, mental health professionals, care workers, schoolchildren, and young people to pass on the nation’s thanks for their tireless efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their Royal Highnesses will pay tribute to the inspiring work of those who have gone above and beyond to support communities during this challenging year for the nation.

All stops will be made following government guidelines and following protocols and restrictions set to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

At London Euston Station, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge speak to transport workers.

Welsh singer and songwriter Shakin’ Stevens performs for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duke and Duchess will also spotlight the arts, heritage and live performance sectors, which have been especially hard hit during the pandemic.

The tour will include live performances by local artists at several stops throughout the United Kingdom to highlight the organisations and projects at each stop.

The two-day tour will be the Duchess’s first official journey on the royal train despite having been a member of the Royal family for almost a decade, while the Duke has used it a number of times.

Ahead of their tour, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge commissioned a piece of art by 10-year-old artist Joe Whale to represent their trip. Whale’s artwork was shared on their social media with the note, “Thank you Joe and keep up the great work!”

For the departure from Euston Station, The Duchess of Cambridge opted for her green military-style coat by Alexander McQueen, Maple Leaf Tartan Scarf by York Scarves, Love Letter Small Top Handle Bag from Grace Han, Amaia Kids Adult Resusable Cotton Face Mask in “Liberty”, Accessorize Pearl Drop Earrings, Ralph Lauren Collection Black Suede High Heel Boots, and Cornelia James Gloves.
