Belgian National Day 2019: Te Deum

On July 21, 2019 King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium joined by their children Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, and Princess Eleonore attended the traditional Te Deum at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels, Belgium. The Te Deum is one of  the main festivities  to commemorate the Belgian National Day.

Belgian National Day (Dutch: Nationale feestdag van België; French: Fête nationale belge; German: Belgischer Nationalfeiertag) is the national holiday of Belgium commemorated annually on 21 July. It is one of Belgium’s ten public holidays and commemorates the investiture of King Leopold I, the country’s first monarch, in 1831 after the Belgian Revolution.

Belgian National Day 2019: National Military Parade

In the afternoon, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and their children Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, and Princess Eleonore and Princess Astrid and husband Prince Lorenz, Prince Laurent and wife Princess Claire attended the Military and Civilian Parade during the National Day of Belgium 2019 in front of the Royal Palace in Brussels.⁣
